Onboard intelligence. A lasting vessel memory.
Galene is a marine AI product in development, designed to run locally aboard your vessel, track its systems over time, and preserve an ongoing history of its operation and maintenance.
By connecting equipment data, manuals, service records, and past events, Galene aims to help crews recognize developing problems, prevent avoidable failures and incidents, and make maintenance easier.
That same accumulated history could support the vessel’s long-term value: documenting what occurred, what was repaired, and how problems were resolved, while preserving knowledge through changes of crew or ownership.
The intelligence evolves. The knowledge stays.
Intelligence aboard your vessel
Galene is being designed to bring together information from engines, generators, electrical systems, alarms, and other connected equipment, alongside manuals, maintenance records, and crew observations.
The goal is a growing understanding of your particular vessel: its equipment, its operating patterns, and its history. Crew and technicians could ask questions, investigate unusual behavior, and retrieve relevant information through an onboard interface.
Local operation is central to the concept, keeping core intelligence and vessel memory available when internet connectivity is limited or unavailable.
Recognize problems earlier. Make maintenance easier.
An isolated alarm tells only part of the story. Its significance may depend on equipment load, operating conditions, previous faults, and recent service.
Galene aims to connect those details, helping crew identify changes that warrant attention and investigate their possible causes. A developing temperature anomaly, for example, could be considered alongside historical readings, maintenance events, and the manufacturer’s troubleshooting guidance.
Our initial focus is read-only monitoring and assistance. Galene would present evidence, explain uncertainty, and recommend checks for people to consider. Captains, engineers, and technicians retain authority over decisions and actions.
Build the vessel’s ongoing history
Each voyage, service visit, equipment replacement, and resolved fault adds to the vessel’s story.
Galene is intended to preserve that story in a structured technical record, connecting monitored operating conditions with documented maintenance, significant events, recommendations, and subsequent outcomes.
That history could help technicians understand recurring problems and give incoming crew access to knowledge that might otherwise leave with their predecessors. As models, software, and equipment change, the accumulated vessel record should remain accessible and useful.
Support confidence—and long-term value
At survey or resale, a detailed history could help explain how a vessel has operated and how it has been maintained.
We’re exploring a transferable Galene Vessel Record that brings together operating history, service documentation, component changes, and recorded anomalies and resolutions, with supporting sources and visible recording gaps.
Our hypothesis is that credible documentation could ease assessments and ownership transitions, strengthen buyer confidence, and help preserve value. We’re working to understand which records marine professionals would find meaningful and how those benefits should be measured.
Technical history would be separated from private owner and crew information, with controls governing access and transfer.
Trust built on evidence
SwarmTracker provides Galene’s underlying evidence and governance architecture.
The aim is to make significant findings traceable to the information supporting them—and to make conflicting sources, missing data, and uncertainty visible. Recorded observations, AI interpretations, and confirmed outcomes should remain distinguishable.
As more intelligent systems appear aboard, Galene could provide a common record across them, preserving continuity even when the agents or models change.
Longer term, optional fleet sharing could help participating vessels benefit from validated technical experience gathered elsewhere, subject to privacy and sharing controls.
Help shape Galene
We’re speaking with yacht builders, captains, engineers, marine electronics integrators, service professionals, brokers, and surveyors to identify where Galene could provide the greatest practical value.
What problems are hardest to diagnose? What knowledge disappears when crew changes? What history would make maintenance, surveys, or sales easier?
Galene is in development. Your experience can help shape it.
